This week I’ll be finishing Dark Blanket up. I’m super excited about getting the blanket out of the way and starting new things!
Week 86 – Bleh
Hey everyone. After my snout full of mold last week, I caught a cold this week, so I’ve spent most of my time sleeping and sleep walking.
the projects – they finish themselves!

Week 85 – Revolution
Hey readers – after last week’s amazing revelation that I could do ANYTHING this year – I sat down and opened a GoodReads account (widget’s on the side) to keep track of my books and to find new ones.
Deciding that everything just needed to be finished, on Monday I got my hair done (cut and highlights) and two new piercings in my earlobes. I can wear four pairs of earrings now!
I read three new books this week, Ender’s Game, Intrigues, and one of the Owls of Ga’Hoole books. So I extended this to projects and went all out with 2 new units on the Bold blanket. It’ll be done by Saturday!

Week 84 – Bigger Family!
My brother and sister in law steal the cake this week with their finished project, my new baby nephew (:
With the influx of materials I received for Christmas, I started working through the “hiatus” pile – and accidentally binged on yarn. With no more blather:
1. Finished Units on Cool Scarf (4 colors), Thin Scarf (1 color), Horde Scarf (8 color changes), Slytherin Scarf (2 colors), and Orange Scarf (1 color).
2. Added entire units to Thin Scarf and Orange Scarf
3. Partial Units to Dark Rainbow and Bold Blanket, the first due to time and the second due to a misplaced hook.
4. Started freestyle crochet on a treeskirt for next Christmas. (you know how I do projects).
Resolutions include finishing projects, adding more metadata, and impressing you

Week 83 – Happy New Year’s Eve!
Hey everyone! I only managed ONE UNIT of this poor blanket because I was in Phoenix having a great relaxing computer-stress-craft-free week. I did actually SUCCESSFULLY acquire additional materials for almost all of the projects I’m on (brown felt is the only thing I’m missing), and will have this beautiful week to get it rolling.
Happy New Year!

Week 82 – Eves
I completed the stockings from last week that I hadn’t been able to find ribbon for. To my embarrassment, I found the perfect ribbon at Walmart. The local craft stores had all been cleaned out of festives and non-festives.
The mittens, too, are smaller-ornament sized, but designed for Pullip, Namu/Taeyang, and Hujoo hands. I made 22 mittens, 2 stockings, 6 pompoms, and 4 4-color yarn-ropes (although I expect to redo one). I also powered through 5 rows (finishing up two un-finished rows and this week’s effort) on the Bold Blanket. An amazing amount of crafting (especially for me!)
Finally, my Angel!Pullip, Aura, would love to wish you a Merry Christmas (or Happy Holidays), with her old ragdoll and her new teddy bear (that I picked up and modified for her):

Look forward to next week for the last post of 2011: I love a year that starts on a Sunday.

Week 80 – Fettered Creativity
I curled into my crafting this week, as my papers and schooling finished, only to discover, of course, that I hadn’t gotten the yarn I wanted in Phoenix. MORE TIME FOR OTHER PROJECTS, EH?
So I threw a partial unit on the orange scarf, one and a partial on the slytherin scarf, three colors on the Bold Blanket, 8 pom poms, 2 doll socks, 1 doll shorts, 2 doll stockings / ornaments, and a pennant yarning. You’ll see the whole deal later this week, hopefully.
On the subject of considering strange weather phenomenon, this was the view out my back door last Sunday:

Arizona doesn’t do fog.
Talk to you next week! More stockings, pennants, etc.

Wednesday Review – Large Rainbow Whelp
I’m sure I had a format for this before.
The Large Rainbow Whelp has been a dream in my head since the Large Black Whelp was created in 2009. Two years later I successfully figured out how to create the effect I wanted on the three sizes of whelps.
I was so psyched to find extra rainbow boa yarn.
While his tummy is discrete colors, the wing membrane and feet are painted using acrylic paints on while felt. I used this effect on the Ichorclaw Myr.
Unlike the original Black Whelp, this one actually has eyes. Future links to his smaller brothers will come.

Week 79 – Back in Business
Hey all! I threw units on orange and slytherin scarves, and I’m working on a new blanket: Cool-Bold! I finished two of three of my finals/papers, with another due in a couple days.
I’m aiming to get the Christmas tree and decorations up this week, and start on the Christmas presents! I’m soooo behind this year.
So with one final between me and the end of school: hopefully I’ll have everything beautiful for you next week.
